Solution Architecture Consulting and Fractional CTO for Growing Products

Most expensive engineering problems are decisions nobody wrote down. I come in to make those decisions explicit: what the system has to do, where the boundaries are, how tenants, data and AI capabilities stay safe, and what the team ships first.

I've done this as the architect of a real estate platform serving 20,000+ agents, the lead on a federal-program CRM for about 10 providers, and the technical lead for a software house delivering healthcare and travel products. The output is always a written design the team can execute without me, plus the option of staying on to lead it.

What you get

  • A target architecture and migration plan the team actually follows.

  • Honest risk assessment: what will break first, what it costs to fix, what to leave alone.

  • AI readiness: where models add value, what data is needed, and how to keep it safe and affordable.

  • Senior technical leadership without a full-time hire.

FAQ

Can I get a taste before booking an audit?

Yes. The free first-pass review on this site (at /review) takes a description of your system and returns ranked risks, decision records and a 30-day plan in the same format the real audit uses.

What does an architecture audit look like?

Two weeks. I read the code, the infrastructure and the incidents, talk to the engineers and the business, then deliver a written report: what's working, what's at risk, and a sequenced plan. You can hand it to any team.

How does a fractional engagement work?

Usually a fixed number of hours a week: design reviews, hard technical decisions, hiring loops, vendor and model choices, and a standing line to the founders. The team keeps ownership; I keep them from expensive mistakes.

Can you assess whether we're ready for AI features?

Yes. I map the workflows where a model would actually resolve work, check the data and permissions needed, estimate cost per task, and define the guardrails and evals. The result is a plan for a first feature that can ship, not a slide deck.
